Life and Times: Life in TN

OK, so in between dealing with pervo's out at the fort and keeping things under control in the apartmento there are things happening in this world that I need to share.

1.) Check out Renee's amazing creative talents when she's being constructive....and not cynical.

That's right, my size 11 gunboats are on the chests of 27 little boy scouts in California. Take that!

2.) They gots big assed bugs down here in Tennessee.
3.) I killed a bird with my truck.

What? Don't believe me? I did! I was driving home from work and I hear this 'thwack' (really....thwack is the sound it made) and I thought a big assed moth (like the one seen above) had gotten hit by my mirror or something because I got a very brief flash of 'something' in my perepheral vision against my drivers side window. Which is cracked about four inches because it was hot as hell that day and I didn't feel like waiting for the AC to kick on......i just wanted air flow. I have the fleeting thoughts "Gee....I'm glad that wasn't a bird" and "I hope that wasn't a bird" and "Dear god....I hope to hell it's not IN the car."

Anyway, so I drive all the way back to my home base (all of a half a mile) and get out of the car when I realize.....

THE BIRD WAS IN THE CAR WITH ME!

There's the dead little birdie lying on my floor board between my seat and the door.

At least it didn't land on me.

Freshly dead birds are squishy.

ANYWAY ....on to brighter and happier things.....
